Abia: Ohafia LG Chairman inaugurates legislative council

The Executive Chairman of Ohafia Local Government, Dr. Okorafor Ukiwe, today, inaugurated the legislative Council in compliance to Abia state local government law.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Chairman charged the Councillors to be dilligent in their Legislative duties and service to the council, maintaining that he would uphold rule of law and the separation of power.
He assured of all needed support, even as he adviced them to create a working environment devoid of rancour as they strive to provide quality and excellent representation.
After the inauguration, the house sat, and elected the following principal officers:
HON. OJU NDUKWE UKA Representing NDI-ELU WARD, NKPORO as the LEADER OF THE HOUSE.
HON. IBEM EGUTA UDUMA Representing EBEM OHA WARD, OHAFIA - DEPUTY LEADER.
HON. NMAJU UKAKU OJEBE Representing AMAOGUDU WARD2, ABIRIBA - MAJORITY LEADER.
HON. EBIN EBIN KALU Representing OKAMU WARD, OHAFIA - DEPUTY MAJORITY LEADER.
HON. NNAMDI AWA IJE Representing AKANU UKWU WARD, OHAFIA - CHIEF WHIP.
HON. TOCHUKWU KALU FRANCIS Representing ETITI WARD, NKPORO - DEPUTY WHIP.
