Gov. Ikpeazu Calls For Improvement Of Football Clubs In Nigeria

The Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has charged football lovers and fans in the country and beyond to work harder in ensuring that Enyimba Football Club and Abia Warriors operate and attain the same level like their cherished football Clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and the likes.

Governor Ikpeazu who gave the charge at the maiden graduation ceremony of Carl Academy And Football College located opposite NTA, along Enugu - Port Harcourt Express Way, Ubakala in Umuahia South LGA of the State, noted that Abia State is investment and environmental friendly for any kind of business including sports with detailed security network for lives and properties.
 
Governor Ikpeazu represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu lauded the founder and proprietor of the Carl Academy And Football College Pastor and Pastor Mrs Emeka Inyama for their Wisdom in citing the Football Academy in Umuahia South and the State, equipping youths with academic knowledge and skills that will make them independent and self reliant like the Education For Employment programme.

He reaffirmed his administration support for investors willing to invest in the State, pointing out that massive road rehabilitation and massive rehabilitation and infrastructural development is on going at every nooks and crannies of the State and appealed to graduating students to be good ambassadors of the institution while more awareness should be created on the existence of the Football Academy to the outside world as well as follow up on graduating students to ensure that they excel in their choosen profession.

In his speech, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Chinedu Orji stressed that investing in the youths to be academically and skillfully relevant remains one of the hallmarks of development and advised the youths to be serious with their studies in order to become responsible and champions that will do the State proud.

Similarly, the Member representing Umuahia State Constituency in the ABSHA, Chief Jerry Uzosike and the Chairman Umuahia South LGA ,Chief Humphrey Benson who thanked Governor Ikpeazu for his numerous developmental projects in Umuahia South and the State at large and also thanked the founder of the institution for investing and bringing development down home and pledged their support to the academy which will fish out future champions as well as creat employment opportunities.
 
Also speaking, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chris Ezem who congratulated Pastor Emeka Inyama and his wife for putting up a legacy project that will go a long way in helping Government take the State to the next level of development.

In his remarks, the Founder of the Football Academy, Pastor Emeka Inyama noted that the school was a way of giving back to the society of his more than 30 years experience in Sports business and a deliberate effort at turning out future champions that will not only do well in sports but academics and moral upbringing.

Pastor Inyama explained that most students of the academy are on his scholarship and other well meaning individuals and thanked God for all that he has done and all that has supported him in one way the other.
