Okonjo Iweala named "unsung leader" of 2014 by Forbes

Nigeria's Minister of Finance and Co-Ordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, has been named Forbes "unsung leader of 2014".

The Minister and four other distinguished leaders were said to have stood out for demonstrating capability,reliability and authenticity in the discharge of their duties at different levels.

Okonjo Iweala was lauded for fighting corruption and helping to refurbish Nigeria's image and economic prospects.

Others in the list include, Pope Francis' right hand man and Vatican Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, Indian-born engineer, Arati Prabhakar,who is the Director of the US Department of Defence's  Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency, and former President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon.
