COVID-19: APC Lawmaker Commends Governor Ikpeazu Over Proactive Measures.

The Member Representing Bende North State Constituency and Deputy Minority Leader of the  Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has commended the proactive measures taken by the Abia State Governor Dr .Okezie Victor Ikpeazu over the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Nigeria has Recorded 43 Cases of CORONA Virus with one Death so  far across the Country.
Commending the Governor through a Matter of Personal Explanation during Plenary on Monday 23rd March 2020 on the floor of the Abia State House of Assembly Hon.Chukwu Chijioke said Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has demonstrated positive signs of preparedness in the unlikely event of the case in Abia.

"I wish to Commend the Governor of Abia State Dr .Victor Okezie Ikpeazu for taking proactive measures inline with what some other Governor's are doing in their States to sensitive inhabitants of the state to adopt preventive measures like regular washing of hands and the application of hand sanitizer".
Speaking further Hon.Chukwu Chijioke who is also the House Committee Chairman on Solid Minerals commended the Abia State Governor for directing the immediate closure of all Tertiary institutions in the State.

" I wish to also Commend the State Governor for directing the immediate closure of Tertiary Institutions and mandating the Primary and Post-Primary Schools in the state to Conclude their exams and close down on or before 30th March,2020" the Lawmaker State.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Lawmaker Representing Bende North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly said it was unfortunate that the whole world is gradually winding down as a result of the fast spreading epidemic referred to as COVID-19.

He called on Radio Stations in the state to prioritize the sensitization of inhabitants of the state, on adopting preventing measures and promotion of personal hygiene.
