Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has stated that his administration would continue to create enabling environment for business to thrive in the state.
Dr. Ikpeazu stated this during the 2018 Ngwa National Culture Festival Igbaru - Ji held at Ezeukwu's Palace Ahiaba Okpuala in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of the abia state, said that the government would continue to promote friendly policies in line with his election promises as well as protect the lives and property of abia residents.
The governor represented by his deputy, sir ude Oko chukwu appreciated and congratulated Eze ukwu of Ngwaukwu, His Eminence, Eze Dr. B.O. Enweremadu on the celebration of their new yam festival as well being the custodian of igbo culture over the years which ordinarily would have gone into extinction.
The state chief executive described him as one of the founding father's of Abia state who contributed immensely towards actualisation of the creation of Abia state.
He thanked God for preserving their life to see yet another new yam festival and for granting them more bountiful harvest and thanked the entire Ngwa ukwu and Ngwa land for their support to this present government.
In His Address,the Eze ukwu of Ngwa ukwu, His Eminence, Eze Dr. B.O. Enweremadu said that Ngwa people are solidly behind the governor, Dr. Okezie ikpeazu for taken it upon himself not to attack the federal government and called on the APC led federal government to attract more federal government project to Abia state because Abia lacks federal presence in all its entiety.
In their separate speeches. The Chairman on the Occasion, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba,the Commissioner for local government and chieftain affairs, Rt Hon. Christopher Enweremadu, his counterpart culture and tourism, Hon Obioma ogbonna commended the Eze Ukwu, Eze Dr B.O Enweremadu for ensuring that the revered tradition is projected and preserved for posterity.
They commended Eze Enweremadu for the success of this year's new yam festival and Prayed God to grant them another year of bountiful harvest.
