Aba no get part 2 joor

While you are busy at online social media speaking okpotokpo bekee (big grammar) and debating XYZMapps of Ebola, Aba people are already making money from Ebola.

As I was navigating the famous "computer village" at St Michaels road Aba earlier today, I saw this young boy of about 15 years hawking the Ebola info book pictured in his hands at N200 per unit. People around that area were rushing to buy from him and when I opened a copy of the 36 paged book, it virtually contains everything you need to know about Ebola Virus Disease with illustrative pictures.

The small boy of secondary school age appears to even know more than me about Ebola. I was so impressed that I had to patronize him by buying a copy. But as a fellow Aba boy who also hawked on the streets of Aba I negotiated him down to N100 per copy. Aba boy no dey chop fellow Aba boy mugu.

When tomorrow comes and that small boy, who instead of resting this long vacation chose to support family income, starts erecting mansions here and there you will still be busy telling the world how he didn't "go to school". Meanwhile your own education is not even adding any value to society, may be aside from borrowing the bigeest words in the English dictionary to whine, abuse and complain about everything and everybody.

The boy's story reminded me of the 10 year old girl at a supermarket along Ekenna street who attends to me anytime I visit the shop. She is still in primary school and after school each day shows up at the shop to help out. Once she sees me she knows what I will mostly buy and will gather all of them and then calculates expertly to the last kobo what I have purchased (without calculators) and then proceeds to "make" change for me. My brother Paul Kalu accompanied me to the shop and was awed. Naturally I pray for her each time I see her because I want to tap into her future glory. I am convinced of her greatness and one day the business world will bow to her.

When these Aba children excel, you will say they "did ritual", cheated others etc. They probably will not give a hoot because they know that the only debt success owes failure is ENVY. They will be prepared to pay that debt and still announce themselves to you loudly at Airports, Nicon, Lounges, Churches etc. If you patiently pass through the training they have passed through you will also be "loud". Hapu mpoto.

Aba is simply a unique town. It has it's own life style, does it's own things and serves Jehova without apology. That's why there are more churches at Aba than any other town I know. But if you f.... up Aba will chop you mugu even from the alter. Aba no dey pity mugu.

Umu Aba worldwide, I SALUTE una. Onye nochie uzo unu zogbuo ya by way of Enyimba Enyi.

Ya gazie.

“Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren't any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn't be here in the first place. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life's challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about. So be that one person.”

NB: Sorry, I almost forgot that I made a "tactical maneuver" out of Facebook and social media earlier today. Am still in Cameron o but will soon execute a "tactical meander" back soon.
