Press statement on a faceless petition written to destroy my reputation

I woke this morning to the notice of an infantile, mindless, malicious, laughable, baseless, wicked and rude attack on my innocent person in a poorly written petition which alleged that one Mr. Jumbo Kelvin, a contestant for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency bought a brand new car for my wife.

This is the cheapest blackmail I have ever come across in my life and there is no iota of truth in it and should therefore be disregarded.

The petitioners took to a wild goose chase to destroy my reputation but their tools are quite inappropriate and therefore an exercise in futility. In the first place the petition is unsigned, a testament to the cowardice displayed by the faceless blackmailers. Should anybody take such a mendacious petition serious? Those behind this evil act should have been bold to own it by putting their names to it and by providing proof of such allegations.

Again, the petitioners in a hurry to put themselves to ridicule missed the appropriate designation for the State Party Chairman and addressed him as the National Chairman. What a cheap blackmail?

The State Party Chairman, Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere can bear witness that I have never discussed the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency election with him.

I understand that this is an election period when many people employ different devious means to achieve their political ambitions but this one has certainly crossed the limits of decency and is not acceptable in any way. Those who wrote this malicious petition against me and brought my wife into it will surely face the wrath of God.

I call on our State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the State Party Chairman, Rt. Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere and all members of our great Party, the PDP in the State and Abia North, to disregard this cheap and wicked blackmail and have confidence in my ability to remain unstained while serving my zone and our great State

Signed

Hon. Elder Amah Abraham

State vice Chairman/Abia North Chairman
