Abia State commissioner of police assures on continued security

New Commissioner of Police,Abia State, Habila Joshak, has reassured Abians of adequate security,before,during and after the elections. The Commissioner made the assurance in an interactive session with factnewsonline.

The new commissioner of Police who was posted to Abia State following the procession of CP Ibrahim Adamu to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies,Kuru in Jos,Plateau state resumed duties on February 13th.

While speaking with factnewsonline,CP Joshak noted that he is in the state to consolidate the work on ground and to review areas requiring improvement.
On the postponement of the elections owing to insecurity,Joshak emphasized that the Nigerian Police Force is ready for the elections.

He further explained that it is the responsibility of the Nigeria Police Force to provide safety for members of the public and to secure sensitive and non sensitive materials for the elections.
Joshak warned politicians to desist from making inflammatory statement that could incite the public.

Prior to his posting to the state,CP Joshak was the Commissioner of Police in charge of counter terrorism unit, Force Headquarters,Abuja.
