The name Chief Allen Nwachukwu; Obioha, is a household name in the States of Imo, Abia and Ebonyi South Senatorial District. Before the creation of Abia and Ebonyi States, the latter ones were integral parts of Old Imo State.

In the Second Republic, Chief Allen Nwachukwu was a member of the Nigerian Peoples Party, NPP. He was a close confidant of both the Leader of the Party and first President of Nigeria under the Parliamentary system, the Great Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and the first Executive Governor of Old Imo State, Chief Sam Mbakwe, Ph.D. He was equally admired by the then Chairman of NPP in Old Imo State, late Chief R B K Okafor.

During the era of Military President Ibrahim Babangida's Two-Party System, National Republican Convention, NRC and Social Democratic Party, SDP, Chief Allen Nwachukwu so charismatically integrated and distinguished himself  that he was overwhelmingly elected Chairman of defunct Obioma-Ngwa Local Government Council, on the platform of NRC. That Council would later dissolve to become the present three Local Government Council Areas of Obingwa, Osisioma-Ngwa and Ugwunagbo.

As a Chairman and Politician, Chief Nwachukwu was known for his characteristic consistency in development and outright condemnation of absurdities and excesses of political gluttons.

After eight consecutive years of disastrous reign as Governor of Abia State between 1999 and 2007, during which there was reckless looting and pillaging of the common wealth of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu was not satisfied with the volume of ill-gotten wealth he had amassed from the State, at the detriment of the masses. He, therefore, became an unbearable conduit-pipe on the government of Chief T A Orji who had succeeded him in 2007.

The pillaging continued up to early 2010. When it was obvious that Governor T A Orji could no longer bear the sacrilegious squandering of the resources of the State by Ex-Governor Orji Uzor Kalu and family, he raised alarm.

The Man he first confided in was Chief Allen Nwachukwu. In response to the above, Chief Allen Nwachukwu formed what became known as Movement For Abia Reunion. It was an assemblage of many experienced politicians from all the nooks and crannies of the State.

Chief Allen Nwachukwu  later drafted me into the Movement. It was the Movement For Abia Reunion that organized and executed a One-Million-Man-March that stormed Government House, Umuahia in 2010 and formally demanded that Governor T A Orji should holistically disengage himself from Chief Orji Uzor Kalu and members of his family for the State to move forward.

Chief Allen Nwachukwu did not only give me the privilege of drafting the Communique, which was unanimously adopted by Members of the Reunion, he also asked me to read the Communique as originated and drafted by me at the second gate of Government House, Umuahia where the members of the Reunion had gregariously converged.

Highlight of that Communique was the resolve of Abia people never again to allow Chief Orji Uzor Kalu and his family deceive, exploit and wreck them. It was that day that Abia people collectively liberated themselves from the shackles of deceitful exploitation that Kalu had foisted on them for more than ten years.

They, therefore, vowed never to have any thing to do with the Kalus again, as that would amount to going back to Egypt.

It has to be recalled that Chief Orji Uzor Kalu's administration was run on a very strange principle that was introduced by him. He called it 'GAMJI'. Gamji was his own synonym for deceit and lies. Chief Orji Uzor Kalu is a pathological liar. There is no truth in his tongue.

If Chief Allen Nwachukwu were alive and hearing that Chief Orji Uzor Kalu wants to impose another of his brothers again on Aba people, Obioha would have been unrelenting in reminding the good people of Abia State why it is extremely dangerous going back to Egypt and, by so doing, eating our vomit.

In his futile desperation to re-establish political relevance in Abia State through his Characteristic falsehood and deceit, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu should realize that the Abia State of today is quite different from the Abia State of 1999 when, on his tacit instruction as the State Governor, his former Secretary to the State Government, late Dr Elekwachi Nwaogbo and one of his personal aides, Ndukwe Okereke, had most brutally used the instrumentality of the then dreaded Bakassi Boys led by one Emmanuel Eze and dreadfully assisted by three other murderers, Ezeji Oguikpe, Stanley Azuogu and Adiele Ndubuisi to gruesomely murder and burn beyond recognition two harmless innocent  indigenes of Ubakala in Umuahia-South Local Government Area of the State, Chukwudozie Nwachukwu and Okechukwu Maduekwe, at Safari Restaurant, at Azikiwe Road, Umuahia on 9th July, 1999, barely two months after being sworn-in as Governor of Abia State.

If Chief Orji Uzor Kalu reintroduces assassination in Abia State, he would end up putting the State on fire that, for a very long time, would be unquenchable. He should be warned.
