Mother’s day: Ohafia Council Chair donates gift items to women

The Ohafia local government chairman, Dr Okorafor Ukiwe has lauded the impact of women as home builders quoting from proverbs 14: 1.
He made this commendation when receiving an award as exemplary leader of the women's guild of the St Peter's Presbyterian church Ebem Ohafia in celebration of International women's day.
The Chairman used the occasion to announce the distribution of 230 pieces of wrappers to widows in 23 churches in Ohafia Local Government Area citing the influence of Her Excellency Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu in assisting widows as a motivation to care for and promote the interest of women.
Dr Ukiwe at the occasion also donated 100 cartons of tiles worth N500,000 for the renovation of the church in support of the service of women in the church.
