The Executive Chairman of Ohafia Local government, Dr Okorafor Ukiwe, today inaugurated the newly appointed supervisory councillors into active service.
He charged them to be loyal, diligent, committed and accountable to the task ahead, noting that these attributes were crucial to his administration’s plans of repositioning the council.
In his contribution, the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Samuel Kalu admonished the supervisory councillors to be good ambassadors of the council and to brace up for a work filled administration.
The inaugurated supervisory councillors are
1. Uko Okemadu Udeagha - Health & Social Services
2. Ndukwe Ncheghe- Education
3. Nnamdi Okoro Okeke - Works And Transport.
4. Njoku Iroha Okebulu - Peace and Security
5. Mrs Ada Ezinne Obasi - Women Affairs & Geriatric support services
6. Chidi Anya Igu - Finance Budget & Planning
7. Ude Mba Agwu - Agriculture
8. Awa Kalu Awa - Youths and Sports
Responding on behalf of others, Ezinne Ada Obasi assured the Chairman of their cooperation, dedication and loyalty in achieving the people-oriented developmental vision of the administration across the local government.
The Secretary to the Local Government, Lady Elizabeth Nkaku Anya and other government functionaries were present at the event.
