Abia Speaker mourns Late Solomon Ogunji

Speaker of Abia State House of Ass mbly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji today, 25th of November, 2020, attended a Special Valedictory Service held in honour of Late Solomon Nkem Ogunji, the immediate past Commissioner for Environment in Abia State, who passed onto glory on 23rd May, 2020.
The Speaker in his short and sober tribute described the Late Ogunji as a brother and friend whom anyone can be proud of. "I am one of the few who knew him too well. With a brother like him on your side, you don't need anyone else. He was a firm believer in our Governor, a man who stood firm with him right from the beginning till he departed this world.
"Today is not a speech making day for me because I can't say all I have in mind but all I can say is may his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, "the Speaker said in an emotion-laden voice.
The Governor of the State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, and his amiable wife, the Deputy Governor and his wife, Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, other top Government officials, clergymen etc were among the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
