Abia Deputy Speaker Receives Defecting APC Youths in Ohafia
The Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu this morning at his home in Amaekpu Ohafia received some defecting Youths from the All Progessive Congress (APC) Akanu Ohafia Chapter.
According to the Youths, they decided to denounce their membership of the All Progessive Congress (APC) to join the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Appreciation and Support for the Giant Strides of the Deputy Speaker in Ohafia.
They thanked the Deputy Speaker for his exemplary leadership style which according to them is worth commending.
They vowed to give the state number 2 law maker and Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu their unalloyed support.
In his Speech, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu thanked the youths for their well thought decision to join the ruling party in the state (PDP) and assured them of a level playing ground noting that the Umbrella of the party is enough to contain everyone.
The APC Youths were led by the Cordinator, O. U. K Foundation in Akanu Ohafia, Mr. Haniel Orji who used the opportunity to hint the Deputy Speaker of his intention to vie for the position of the Councilor Representing Ania Ward and Mr. Stephen Okpan (Cordinator, O. U. K Vibrant Youths, Ania Ward).
The Decampees visited the Deputy Speaker in company of the PDP Chairman Ania Ward, Hon. Okoro Amogu and Prince Udo Uduma - Cordinator, Nwachinemere Youths, Akanu Ohafia.
