Covid-19: Prince Dan Okoli calls for strict adherence to lock down order in Arochukwu

The Abia State Commissioner for Home Land Security, Hon Prince Dan Okoli has called on the people of Arochukwu LG to adhere strictly to total lock down as declared by the state government.

The commissioner made this known today, when he visited the Arochukwu T C Chairman, Mazi Emmanuel Jideofor Kanu, to ascertain the level of compliance to the directives of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, that all Boundaries linking neighboring states should be on a permanent lockdown till further notice.

On hand to recieve him and his entourage were the TC Chairman, TC Councillors, the Police DPO, SSS, Civil Defence Corps, the home branch President of Nzuko Arochukwu and the youths.

The Commissioner who inspected boundaries, notably the Nkana/Amuvi road of Akwa Ibom, State, thanked the T C Chairman and his people for complying to the Governor's directives, and advised for maintenance of law and order, and strict adherence by ensuring a total lockdown to avoid any form of infiltration from neighboring states.

Responding, the TC Chairman, commended the efforts of the commissioner and the covid-19 task force in ensuring peace and order across the state borders.

He however, requested for additional manpower from the ministry of homeland security to assist in maintaining order especially as the five Clans of Arochukwu LGA have common boundaries with Akwa ibom state.
