Isiko people are reliable, I’ll attend Isiko Day - Gov Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has described the people of Isiko of Obi-Mgboko Mbu Autonomous Community in Obingwa LGA of the state as reliable people.

Governor Ikpeazu also confirmed that he will attend the Isiko Day celebration on January 3, 2020 at Ahiaeke Isiko.

Speaking when the Planing Committee of the Isiko Day visited him at his country-home in Umuobikwa village, Governor Ikpeazu commended Isiko people for their communal spirit, stressing that he has a long standing relationship with Isiko people.

“I am happy about Isiko people, they’re very reliable people. I have a long-standing relationship with Isiko people, and I have no regret about my relationship with them. I will attend the Isiko Day," he assured.
 
Governor Ikpeazu has a long-standing relationship with Isiko people. Recall that in 2011, Dr Ikpeazu was the campaign manager for the re-election of Rt. Hon. Eziuche Ubani to House of Representative. 

In 2015 he appointed two sons of Isiko, Hon. Ubani as Commissioner for Works and Enyinnaya Appolos, as Personal Aide, later as Chief Press Secretary. In 2019 he reappointed Appolos as Special Adviser on Media.
