Wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has reaffirmed her commitment to partnering with the directorate of employment to reduce unemployment.
She affirmed this, when the management team of the National Directorate of Employment led by their new state co-ordinator,  Arc. Chijioke Uzoatiegwu, paid her a courtesy visit in her Government House Office, Umuahia recently to familiarize themselves concerning Job creation in the state.
In a response, Mrs. Ikpeazu assured the new NDE boss and her team of the robust relationship being enjoyed by the two offices would be sustained.
 However, she urged the new administration  to be more focused and eschew favoritism while discharging their duties. 
The Abia First Lady, disclosed that this present administration is committed towards improving the living conditions of Abia people with special emphasis on health,job creation, education and empowerments, especially people living in the rural areas.
"As the new state co-ordinator, I encourage you  to attract more developmental projects from the federal level to the state level, to enable Abians benefit". Mrs. Ikpeazu, said. 
Earlier, the  State Coordinator, National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) Abia state, Arc. Chijioke.I. Uzoatuegwu,
thanked Mrs. Ikpeazu for finding time to discuss with them.
She explained that the purpose of their visit was to familiarize with the wife of Governor, having assumed office as the new State co-ordinator, NDE, Abia State and to foster future ways of sustaining the ongoing empowerment programs being carried out between the office of the wife of the Governor, the Vicar Hope Foundation and the NDE. 
She, however, praised the efforts of the Vicar Hope Foundation as one of the facilitators of trainings and empowerments of trainees.
