N20million fraud: MCL Tv boss remanded in Prison custody

A magistrate court sitting in Umuahia has remanded the General Manager, Administration, Modern Communications Televsion, popularly known as MCL TV, Mr. Chimdi Oluoha in Afara Nigeria Correctional Service over Advanced fee Fraud to the tune of over twenty million naira.
Mr. Oluoha who is currently serving out an indefinite detention at the Afara center is said to have duped a naval officer of 20 million naira in relation to land purchase and fake documents.
He was charged under case no U/761c/2019 Between Inspector General of Police Vs (1) Christian Festus Onyemauwa (2) Chimdi Oluoha.
He is serving an indefinite detention of two Charges which includes obtaining money to the tune of twenty million naira (20,000,000) under false pretence and defrauding one Lieutenant Commander Ethelbert Owulu ternty million naira (20,000,000) under false pretence to sale 5 plots of land to him, at Govt Layout Okotta Awota in Okwuta Isieke Ibeku.
The MCL Manager, Administration was said to have been remanded at the Zone 9 police Headquarters in Umuahia where he spent some days at the cell before being released by the police after the company pleaded on his behalf with a condition to meet up with the bail conditions.
According to reports, when Mr. Oluoha failed to meet the bail conditions he fled the town, and was apprehended by the police who charged him to court on Friday, 25th October, 2019 where he was slammed with an indefinite detention.
