[PHOTOS]Abia govt to partner ICAN in establishment of study center in the state

The Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Okochukwu earlier today played host to the national delegates of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigerian (ICAN) who were on a courtesy call in his office.

The team which was led by the 55th President, Mazi Nnamdi Anthony Okwadigbo (FCA) also had the Vice President, Mrs. Onume Adewumi and other members of the governing council as well as members from Umuahia and Porthacort district societies in attendance.

The head of communications, Mrs. Bumi Owolabi in her introductory remarks informed the Deputy Governor that the council is in umuahia for the launching of their 100 million naira secretariat fund raising and think it wise to visit him and let him know that the council is in his state.

Responding, the Deputy Governor of Abia state Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, who also is a fellow of ICAN welcomed the council to Umuahia, and assured them of the government support to make their stay a memorable one, as he used the opportunity to inform the national delegation of this administration partnership with the Umuahia ICAN district which brought the result of donating a piece of land to them for the construction of their secretariat and also assured them that the government is ready to partner with them in the establishment of a big study center in umuahia which will help the council to enroll more members.

The Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Aham Uko and many other top government officials were present during the visit.
