Abia to computerise vehicle inspection

Abia State Government says it has concluded plans to computerise its vehicle inspection service and electronic vehicle administration system.

The state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who was represented by his deputy, Ude Oko Chukwu, stated this when he received the Business Development Executive of SYC, Mr Edward Aderemi, and his team in Umuahia.

He said the computerised Vehicle Inspection Service and Electronic Vehicle Administration System would also increase the Internally Generated Revenue of the state by giving proper account of revenue collected through the exercise to enable government to develop the state.

 Earlier, Aderemi said they visited to showcase their programme on the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Service and Electronic Vehicle Administration System for proper management of traffic, ensure safety on the road, increase the IGR as well as improve the security by given particulars of vehicles and their owners at critical moments.
