2015 Delta Golf Tournament ends

The four-day 2nd Delta open Golf tournament has ended with Gift Willy of Air Assault Club emerging winner.

The competition which was held at the Ibori Golf and Country Club Asaba, had about 100 professional golfers from in and out of the Country. The participants played a total of 72 holes each with 18 on a daily basis.

Records show that Gift Willy led from day one with one shot and on the third day he led the second on the defending champion, Amos Kobbler of Ghana with 3 shots.

On the fourth day, Gift Willy rapped up the competition after grossing 299, representing 3 over 72 holes to win prize of #1.8million.

Defending champion Amos Kobbler, grossed 296, 8 over 72 holes to win the second prize of #480,000 while Andrew Oche of Ortuko Golf Club grossed 299, over 11 over per 72 holes to win #280,000 in the third position.

According to the captain of the Ibori Golf and Country Club and life president of the professional Golfers Association, Hon. Dan Mayuku, a training tour of Dubai for the 6 outstanding golfers who finished among the top ten has also been organized. "Subsequent competition will witness a remarkable improvement in the course and prize money" he said.
