UPDATED: Ikpeazu visits family of slain motorcyclist

The Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has today visited the family of Late Mr. Chimaobi Nwogu who was short dead by a trigger happy soldier at the Ohanze Military Checkpoint yesterday.
Dr. Ikpeazu consoled with the nursing wife and the mother of slain Cyclist. He described the death of the young man as very unfortunate and promised that the government would not loose sleep until justice is done. He also reassured Abians and those doing their businesses in the state of his administration's determination towards protecting their lives and properties.
He promised that the state government will always identify with the family at all time while praying for the soul of Late Chimaobi to find rest in the bosom of the Lord.
The Governor was accompanied to the visit at Umuokere-Ngwa in Obingwa LGA (the home town of the late Chimaobi) by the Majority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly who represents Obingwa East State Constituency, Hon. Barr. Solomon Akpulonu, the Commissioner of Police Abia state, CP Awosola Awotinde, the Commissioner for Information Abia state, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the TC chairman of Obingwa LGA, Chief Chidiebere Ihenyeremadu amongst other top government officials.
Meanwhile it has been reported that the army has arrested the killer solider and his other two colleagues stationed at the Ohanze military checkpoint at the point of the incidence.
