FIFA congratulates Enyimba FC

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has congratulated Enyimba International Football Club of Aba for emerging 2019 Champions of Nigeria football.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, sent the congratulatory message in a letter dispatched to the Club through the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr Amaju Pinnick, from Zürich on Monday,16th July, 2019.
According to Infantino, “It gives me great pleasure to congratulate them (Enyimba) for their first championship title since 2015 and eight overall, a record”.
“This is, no doubt, the result of effort and hard work, and everybody involved can be proud of this great achievement. I shall be grateful if you could extend my congratulations to the players, the coach, the administration, the entire technical and medical staff as well as the fans. I encourage them to continue working with determination and motivation.”
Speaking to Newsmen, the Chairman of Enyimba FC, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu, expressed appreciation to FIFA president and assured that the team will work even harder to represent Nigeria well in Africa and beyond.
He also applauded Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, for providing a world class playing turf for the team as well as motivating the players to excel.
