Jonathan to meet Obama, Cameron, Ban Ki Moon at UNGA

President Goodluck Jonathan has departed Abuja for New York to attend the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.

In a statement, the presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, said Mr. Jonathan will attend receptions hosted by 

President Barack Obama of the United States and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Moon.

Mr. Jonathan will stop over in London for a brief private visit before proceeding to New York.

He will address the United Nations Security Council High-Level Session on ‘Threats to International Peace and Security Caused By Terrorist Acts’ and present Nigeria’s statement to the General Assembly on Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

President Jonathan is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Ban Ki Moon and the British Prime Minister, David Cameron. He is expected back in Nigeria on Thursday.
