Angela Johnson of Amuvi in Arochukwu Local Government Council of Abia State, has declared her interest to run for the presidential seat in 2019.

Johnson who made her intention known at her country home, Amuvi community  when she met with the traditional rulers from the area though did not disclose under which political platform she is to actualise her ambition  but  said her aspiration was from God.

“What I have come tell you is that I have come out to aspire to be the first female President of Nigeria, my desire is to move Nigeria to another place where every citizen would be glad that they are Nigerians.

She said that women have what it takes to lead the nation to another level.

She said, “I am here to tell you about my divine visitation from God who told me to come out and redeem my country from misrule.

“The project is not tied to ethnic nor gender factors but rather to serve my country.

“What motivated me was that when I was growing up and saw the way

things had been going on in this country right from Independence, a lot

has not changed, you expect the country to move forward,  I have

watched and gone through the constitution yet it cannot be implemented.

“Nigeria needs committed people that love themselves; it needs

someone that can lead the people of this nation to move forward.

“Men have tried but I believe it is time for me come in and lead the way that God would be glorified.

“God has already given us mandate on how to rebuild Nigeria; the

Governance is here but it has not been followed; there is no transparency in the running of affairs of this country.”

In their reaction, Chief Isaac Okwara Onoh, Ezeogo 111 of Agbangwu

Village, Chief Thomas Nlemanya Okoroji, commended their daughter for her courage to make her intention public while gave her their royal blessing to become victorious in her quest.
