Abia APGA chieftains in war of words

Alex Otti and Reagan Ufomba
There has been a cold battle between the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) 2015 Governorship candidate, Alex Otti and Chief Reagan Ufomba, the 2011 Governorship candidate over party leadership.
The battle took a different dimension recently when Ufomba in his article titled “God Used Otti To Make Ikpeazu Governor,” referred to Otti’s lawyers as ‘inexperienced.’
He added that APGA under him would have won the 2015 election if fielded. Ufomba also claimed that Dr Otti was drafted to APGA by former occupants of Aso Rock under false pretences to deliver him through the platform.
“Dr Otti was drafted to APGA by former occupants of Aso Rock under false pretences to deliver him through the platform. But unknown to him, the actual plot was to stop me and APGA at all costs and have 'one of their own' whose loyalty and allegiance was not in doubt continue in power,” he said.
Alex Otti in his rejoinder, described Ufomba’s article as a ‘Beautiful lie.’ Otti said “Ufomba is entitled to self entertainment and thus would have ignored his self serving hypothetical political analysis and allow him to enjoy his tragicomedy, but since it is not featuring him solely as the producer, actor and spectator, we have no choice than to halt his voyage of falsehood before few unsuspecting members of the public become his victims.”
According to the counter statement by Otti’s media aide, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti likened Ufomba as a ‘conductor’ who jumped off an aeroplane and broke his bones permanently.
“Since Ufomba admitted that APGA under Otti won the election with 72,451 votes even though he cunningly avoided giving any credit to Otti, how many votes did APGA under Ufomba win in the election of 2011 and who were Ufomba’s lawyers if any, and what were their antecedents and feats? I’m not surprised Chief Ufomba has no figures to show in his own case, because one has to have polling agents for him to boast of results,” Otti added
Recall that Supreme Court had recently, struck out the pre election case instituted by Chief Reagan Ufomba against Dr. Alex Otti. In the case, Chief Reagan Ufomba was contesting the APGA gubernatorial candidacy of Dr. Alex Otti in the 2015 election.
