Represented by his Deputy, Ude Oko Chukwu, the Governor regretted that in the past, women were excluded from most political activities.

The wife of the Governor, Nkechi Ikpeazu, observed that the society offered some women the opportunity to occupy leadership positions, to the detriment of their families.

The two -day family enhancement‎ summit-the first of its kind in Abia State, attracted prominent women from the state.
