Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has advocated for a space at the Abia Mall for the sales and display of Made in Aba Products, alongside other imported goods in the mall.

The Governor made the appeal at the unveiling of the Abia Mall, which also houses Shoprite located at old Garki, Umuahia.
He described the project as significant because it supplies the Peoples daily needs and of high quality.

According to Governor Ikpeazu, the project has once again made a statement that Abia is hospitable and open for investments and prayed that those who would be part of the project enjoys God's prosperity.

He described the unveiling as an opportunity to grow the economy of the state and said the day would not have become a reality if not for the dream, resolve and patriotic zeal of the former Governor, Theodore Orji.
Dr. Ikpeazu thanked the Senator representing Abia Central for such a dream of making sure that the capital would enjoy a boom economically.

He said this is the beginning of things that would happen to Abia as the International Conference Centre would soon be opened, for both local and international use.

The Governor reminded the management of the mall of the need to employ the host community in its services as parts of efforts at encouraging them to become self reliant.
