Buhari extends Umoru ibrahim's tenure as NDIC CEO

President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate to confirm the reappointment of Umoru Ibrahim as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC.

The President in a letter sent to the Senate on Tuesday, said the decision to reappoint Umoru was in accordance with Section 5 subsection 4 and Section 8 subsection 3 of the NDIC Act 2004.

Dailypost recalls that Umoru Ibrahim was first appointed to head the nation’s main insurance agency in 2010 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Having finished his first tenure of 5 years in December 2015, President Buhari reappointed him January 2016 in acting capacity as Managing Director.
