Gov. Ikpeazu Tasks Ministries And Agencies on Synergy

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has tasked Ministries and Agencies in the state on Synergy to move the state forward especially in areas of infrastructure development.

The Governor stated this when the Board of Trustees of the Physical Planning Infrastructure Development Fund,PPIDF, paid him a visit at the Government House, Umuahia.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu decried the lack of synergy among state government agencies and ministries and urged them to work as a team to ensure a better Abia.

The Governor who expressed confidence that the policies, patterns and procedures of doing business in Abia would be duly followed to yield good dividends, assured the PPIDF, of government's support in their bid to drive the Fund to have an Abia of legacies on solid infrastructure across the Local Governments.

Governor Ikpeazu noted that the Fund has ran below capacity because no infrastructure in the state can be credited to it. He emphasized on the need to streamline the method of collection and management of the Fund.

The Governor insisted that it has become imperative for bold statements to be made in the direction of Prudence and management.

The Chairman and leader of the delegation, Nnamdi Nwokocha said they were on the visit to seek direction from the governor, to help in its mandate of repositioning the agency in compliance with the law.

He said the Fund is charged with the responsibility of assisting the government deal with infrastructure deficit to help the developmental strides of the state.
