Abia State Government to Create Link Roads Between Akwa Ibom and Abia

To ease the burden being experienced by commuters  travelling to Akwa Ibom due to the deplorable state of the roads, the Abia state government has revealed plans to construct a 7.5km access road to link Akwa Ibom state before the end of the coming dry season.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu disclosed this at Aba  while speaking at the mega fellowship of the Aba North District of the Assemblies of God church held at Assemblies of God church,Ukaegbu Road, Ogbor Hill, Aba with the theme”Evidence of Total Restoration”.

The  road which is distinct from the dilapidated Aba-Ikot Ekpene route, according to the Governor is to be done using the cement pavement technology.
He disclosed that his administration will construct 50 roads in Aba in addition to a flyover at Osisioma, adding that a total of 13 roads have so far been completed by his government in Aba while others are on-going.

The Governor said that he would have loved to do more than he has so far done but for challenges confronting him but promised to continue to stand as a vendor of hope for the common man through rendering of quality services.
He thanked the church for honoring him and pledged not to disappoint Abians.

In a sermon, the Aba North  District Superintendent of Assemblies of God church, Rev PK Emeaba who told the Governor that he is a sacred person, reminded him that any man who has passion to uplift the welfare of common man will not be forsaken by God and thanked him for what he is doing in Aba especially in the area of road construction.

Earlier, the Aba North District Co-ordinator of Assemblies of God church, Rev Okechukwu Ulu appreciated the Governor for appointing some of their members into his cabinet and assured him of the support of the Assemblies of God church.
Highlight of the event was the award of the “Nehemiah of Abia state” on the Governor by the men’s fellowship of the church.
