Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has said the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would come of the present challenge confronting the state stronger and better. The Governor stated this when the state Executive Council members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, came to officially present themselves to the Governor following their election of May 10. He stated that he has never been in doubt of the support of the Abia State PDP family since the inception of the crisis rocking the state, noting that the distractions were about selfish interest which God prevailed upon. Governor Ikpeazu said he would continue to draw strength and authority from God and the support of the party to fight the remaining battles ahead. According to him, challenges are part of the process and expressed confidence that God would deliver Abia at the end of the day. He said the challenge has made him more resolute and determined to bring about the dividends of democracy to Abia people. Chairman of the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Johnson Onuigbo who led the state Executive to the Government House for familiarization with the governor assured him of the continued support of the party at all times to ensure his actualization of a new Abia. Onuigbo reminded Gov. Ikpeazu that he's not alone in this trying time, while urging him to pursue the case at the appeal with more vigour. He said the party Executive and all party members would be willing to at all times carry out any given assignment as given by the Governor. The PDP party Chairman re-emphasized that the struggle is not that of the Governor, but of the party which they are determined to defend at all cost. Thereafter, the Governor inspected the Abia One Stop Shop located at Secretariat Road, which would soon be commissioned for use by the public.
