March 12,ABSU Beheading : Abia State Government Parades Suspects

The perpetrators of the dastardly act of  March 12,2016, at the Abia State University, Uturu, that involved the beheading of two students following a cult clash has been apprehended by security agencies in the state and paraded before pressmen .

Parading the suspects, the Department of State Security, DSS, Director, Abia State, K. S. Kamoju said the arrest of the perpetrators were informed by the collaboration of all security agencies in the state. 
According to him, some of them were caught at various locations in the state including the Michael University of Agriculture, Umudike and within the state capital.

The boys aged between 21-25, who are all members of Burkina Faso Cult group confessed to the incident and narrated how the heinous crime was hacked.

Kamoju revealed that Chikezie Macdonald, 22, popularly called Starboy,a student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, who is the cult's number 1, partook in the act from planning to supply of weapons but was not part of the execution. 
Chukwuemeka Awom, 25, son of a herbalist was part of it from planning to execution, and beheading with Chidozie Obi,21, while Chigozie Francis Eberendu, 23, was also part of the act from planning to execution.

The DSS Director, Abia State, further revealed that the attack ensued as a reprisal for the killing of late Collins Agu, a former Number one of Burkina Faso,ABSU, with a rival cult group in the school.

He commended the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu for his efforts and determination to ensure that the security of lives and property of citizens of the state is guaranteed.  He noted that this should serve as a lesson to other cultists and criminals in the state as there would be no hiding place.

Kamoju, enjoined members of the public to be on alert and always provide useful information to relevant security and government authorities to clamp down on criminal activities in the state.

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu congratulated the security agents in the state for a job well done. He described the suspects as fierce and heartless, while decrying the rate of breakdown of values in the nation. 
Governor Ikpeazu said the "act is wickedness in its limits" , and noted that they must face the full weight of the law and dance to the tune of the music they have started. 
He sounded a note of warning to other cultists in citadel of learning across the state to hands off or be ready to face the wrath of the law.

The Governor, reiterated his governments determination to fight crimes in the state until they come to a standstill.

He however, commended the management of Abia State University, Uturu and Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike for their corporation.
