Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu Condemns ABSU Killings :Call for Expediate Actions

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has condemned the activities of cultists in the state University, Uturu. This followed the recent beheading of some students of the institution owing to cult activities, and ordered that immediate actions be taken to unravel those behind the dastardly act. 

The Governor who expressed worry at such levels of heinous crimes committed by the students of tertiary institutions, stated this when the Governing Council of Rhema University, Aba, paid him a courtesy call at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Umuahia.

Governor Ikpeazu said a team of undercover agents have been sent to the institution to find out the root cause of the problem, as well as find a lasting solution to it.
He said the state government will also take a critical look at the hostels and do a profiling of both the proprietors and the students.

He urged parents to be mindful of what their children do in schools, especially where they reside. 
While calling on the management of Rhema University to take necessary steps to ensure that cultists doesn't crip into the institution, the Governor further advised the institution to admit the number of students it can to ensure that accurate data of the students are taken.  This he said, will help the Ivory tower in proper management of its students.

He added that the state government will do all within its capacity to ensure the school grows from strength to strength.

Earlier, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Ogwo E Ogwo, informed the Governor that the institution was on the visit, to officially introduce the school to the Governor, as well as invite him for the forth coming convocation of the school. 
Ogwo explained that the vision of the school is to raise people of character and integrity.

Established by the Living World Ministries in 2009,Rhema University, Aba runs nine fully Accredited courses ranging from sciences to social science
