Abia State Deputy Governor, Udeh Okochukwu has reassured of the present administration's commitment to ensuring a better Abia. The Deputy Governor stated this when members of Knight of St. Mulumba paid him a courtesy call at the Government House Umuahia.
The Deputy Governor, who expressed appreciation to the group for the visit, said it was a sign of solidarity to the present administration and assured of carrying Abians along in the policies of the state.
Okochukwu, revealed that the state government despite the Economic downturn in the country has offset the backlog of salary arrears owed workers, and will ensure that salaries are paid as and when due.
He said the present administration is committed to ensuring that the people of the state will not be disappointed by them.
The leader of the delegation, Anthony Onu, who congratulated the Deputy Governor and the governor for their victory at the apex court, urged them to continue with their pace of work. He noted that if sustained, they would live their footprints in the Sands of time.
The commissioner for environment, and other government functionaries were at the event.
