Port Harcourt Refnery To Begin Full Production This Week

The new Port Harcourt refining company will resume full production of premium motor spirit other wise known as petrol, after the completion of the rehabilitation of Area 3 of the refinery where petrol, liquefied petroleum gas and other lighter products are produced.
 
The 210,000 barrels per day capacity refinery last month commenced preliminary unit, producing largely dual purpose kerosene, DPK and Automotive Gas, AGO, otherwise known as diesel.
 
Chairman of Chrome Group, Emeka Offor, who revealed this, said that since 2000, Chrome Consortium has successfully completed the turn around maintenance of the Port Harcourt refinery.
 
The maintenance of Port Harcourt Refinery is handled  by Chrome Consortium.

Once the full production begins, it will reduce importation of fuel by 40 percent when fully operational.
