The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja has announced the commencement of a special stop and search operation on the entry and exit points of major cities and towns of the country.
In a statement by the Deputy Force Spokesman, Abayomi Shogunle, the special operation was necessitated by an intelligent report.

Shogunle made it clear that the special operation did not involve highways and warned that the force would not tolerate any unprofessional conduct of officers and men.

He called on Nigerians to cooperate with the police during the special security operation, to address the intelligence received by the force.
