Champions League semi final, second leg, Bernabeu - Real Madrid 1 (Ronaldo 23 pen) Juventus 1 (Morata 57) - (Juventus win 3-2 on aggregate).

Alvaro Morata came back to haunt Real Madrid as Juventus claimed a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu to book a Champions League final showdown with Barcelona.

The Spanish striker has made no secret of the fact he had no relationship with Carlo Ancelotti and he ensured it was a satisfying return home by cancelling out Cristiano Ronaldo's first-half penalty to clinch a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

It extinguishes Los Blancos' hopes of being the first team to retain the trophy in the Champions League format and sees the Old Lady end a 12-year wait to reach the final.

There was a sense of trepidation for Madridistas heading into the contest after their La Liga hopes were all-but ended at the weekend, intensifying the pressure on Ancelotti.

Fears they will finish the season without one of the big two trophies inspired thousands of supporters to greet the team coach en route to the stadium to try and inspire their side to victory.

It seemed to be doing the trick as Ronaldo's opener put them in the driving seat until Morata broke his old supporters' hearts to send the Bianconeri to Berlin and keep their own treble dream alive.
