Abians Prepare Your Chariots Lest Ye Be Overtaken By Caterpillars.

History they say, has a way of repeating itself.

Filled with doubts because of past experiences, some Abians are still finding it difficult to accept that the time is now. Aba especially and Abia generally is about taking a leap for better.

It is therefore not a sight to see write-ups against the victory of Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as the Governor-elect of God's own state. What is surprising is the inability of the God's own people (Abians) to accept God's omniscience.

Like the Biblical Israel after years of drought, they are doubting Elijah's proclamation that the rains are finally here. The Bible students will recall the messengers went to look about six times without seeing any sign of rain. It was at the seventh time that a little cloud was seen. Even when the Prophet urged them to hurry home to avoid being drenched, they were still hesitant.

Remember, there was this test of whose god is supreme before this proclamation and the eventual rain.

While some who are rightly bitter for loosing, the unprepared may be taken unawares by the wave of development that will be witnessed in Abia from May 30th. They are still hoping on one allegedly "stolen mandate that will be returned" so they are lax.

Those that will be worst hit are those who illegally built on the roads, waterways and PHCN's right of way. Those who dispose refuse indiscriminately, park vehicles haphazardly and generally disobey traffic rules, will have themselves to blame if they continue thinking same way.

People should stop believing what the losers are feeding them or get overtaken.

As the caterpillars roll in to Enyimba city after May 29th, one should not be caught unawares because there will be demolition of illegal structures. The best advise to the owners of these properties is to evacuate their valuables because there won't be an easy way out. For tenants who live in such buildings, hurriedly look for another accommodation.

'Agha akara aka, edighi eri ngwuro'. Make hay while the sun shines. Do not be deceived by the stories. Dr Okezie is here to work. For the stiff-necked, wait, 'anaghi agwa ochi nti n'ahia esula. Mgbe oso suru, nwanyi otele ukwu ga-ama ihe omere onwe ya'.

After May 29th, ndi na ochi, ndi na akwa. Whatever happens, within the next three years, the airwaves will be filled with "Run, run, run, Okezie run" as Abians beg him for a second tenure.
