Ahead of Saturday's elections;Abians assured of safety

The Abia State Police Command has reassured Abians of safety during the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections across the state, while warning thugs and criminals to stay away from the polling units to avoid the wraths of the law.

The Commissioner of Police,Habila Joshak  at an interactive session with newsmen at the force headquarters, Umuahia, stated that the command is poised to improve on the safety of lives and property of residents of the state.
He explained that flashpoints have been identified and necessary actions taken to ensure peaceful elections.
CP Joshak reminded politicians in the state, that the force will not tolerate armed guards during the elections, and warned that everyone should play according to the law.

The Commissioner of Police warned those planning to disrupt the peace of the state to desist as police will not take it lightly with anyone caught meddling with the peace of the state.

He urged all Abians to come en masse and cast their ballots for the candidates of their choice without fear or favour.
