President Jonathan approves the appointment of new NECO CEO

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Professor Monday Joshua as the Registrar and Chief Executive of National Examinations Council.
Azeez Sani, Head,Information Division of NECO who announced this said the appointment which takes immediate effect follows the expiration of the tenure of Professor Promise Okpala,who served for eight years.
The appointment letter, signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim Pius, was dated April 2nd, 2015, with reference number SGF6/S.14T.

Joshua who is from Afasha Nsit 11 of Nsit Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, attended, the Polytechnic Calabar, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and IOWA State University of Science and Technology, USA.
He became a professor in 2006 from the University of Calabar.
Until his appointment,Joshua was a professor for Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation in the Faculty of Education of the University of Calabar.
