Kano State INEC REC,family, die in fire outbreak

The Kano State Resident Electoral Commissioner,who manned last Saturday's Presidential and National Assembly elections, Mr. Makaila Abdulahi is dead.
Makaila, wife and two daughters died in what neighbours described as a "strange fire incident".
An Assistant Superintendent of Police in Kano, Mr. Majiya who confirmed the incident said the family died while trying to escape from the window, from the fire incident said to have been caused by a spark from their generator early this morning.
Mr. Majiya, who said the Kano State Commissioner of Police and his team arrived the scene on time, noted that the body of the deceased have been conveyed to their country home Dutse for burial according to Islamic rites.
