Military to deploy gunboats for the elections; Alex Badeh

To provide adequate security for the elections, the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal, Alex Badeh has said the military will deploy gunboats for the elections.
While inauguarating 30 gunboats acquired by the Federal Government to enhance the operation of the Joint Task Force,JTF,Operation Pulo Shield in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State, said that apart from prosecuting the war against oil theft, the gunboats would be deployed to secure the sections in the coastal communities.
Badeh who warned those planning to cause mayhem in the country, noted that the acquisition of the gunboats is in line with the federal governments determination to bring a lasting solution to crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism in Nigeria.
