We will crush Shekau before elections; President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that the Nigerian military will crush the leader of the Boko Haram insurgentd, Abubakar Shekau before the March 28th elections.
President Jonathan stated this while answering questions on what his administration is doing to end the activities of the terroist group, following Shekau's threat to disrupt elections.
The President accepted that the strength of Nigeria's military was not commensurate with its position as Africa's largest economy,adding that his government is poised to look inwards for arms procurenent.
President Jonathan further emphasized that his administration will focus on local technologies for arms production. He stressed that more companies would be issued licenses to produce arms, to compliment the defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria.
The Boko Haram group has killed thousands of Nigerians and displaced many, and has remained elusive since the sect launched itd series of deadly attacks in 2009.
