A group of stakeholders under the aegis of Concerned Critical Stakeholders from Ikwuano/Umuahia, today, presented a nomination form they bought for the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Engr Chinedum Orji, urging him to run for Federal House of representatives.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Pastor Emeka Inyama in his remarks, noted that the Speaker has done well as a lawmaker in the state Assembly and deserves an elevation.

" Having considered your effort as a house member, you deserve to be called to continue speaking. We believe that though we have a different plan for you from what the youths want, We appeal that you accept our plan. As speaker, you transformed the face of the State Assembly.

"You have touched and empowered the youths, built stadia beyond your constituency. We commend you. Jobs will be created by your works. It is our wish that you deserve to move into the house of representatives," He said.

In his remarks, Hon. Jerry Uzosike, member representing Umuahia South State constituency, stated that the Speaker has done well, adding that the call to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia at Abuja is one that the speaker must not reject

"I believe in this project. The speaker has done well. You are the hope of Ikwuano/umuahia.

"You cannot reject this call. I will appear in court should you reject this call," Jerry said.

On his part, the Speaker appealed that he be given 48hours to consult and revert.

Other members of the delegation include Chief Charles Ogbonnaya, Hon.  Ngozi Oji amongst others.
