Abia Speaker, others present at the commissioning of Unique life hotel

Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji yesterday joined the State Governor to the commissioning of a newly built hotel, Unique Life Hotel & Suites located at No 1 Onyebuchi Close, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia North Local Government Area of the State. 

The Speaker expressed joy that the owner of the hotel, Mr Anayo Ernest Iroh, an indigene of Lokpanta Ukwu in Umunneochi Local Government Area decided to site such a huge edifice in Umuahia and appreciated him for investing in the State.
 
The Speaker said Abia is peaceful and hospitable and that it is the collective duty of all to encourage investors to keep coming into Umuahia in particular and Abia State in general.

The Speaker therefore urged Abians to patronise the hotel as a way of encouraging other investors, get businesses in the state growing while providing employment for teeming Abia youths.

Afterwards, Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State Government who represented the Governor and the Speaker proceeded to commission the facility. 

The Speaker in company of other dignitaries was conducted round the facility by the proprietor of the hotel and some of his senior staff.

Music icon, Bright Chimezie, his Ziggima band crew and Ruffcoin Nwa Aba entertained the guests. 

 Mazi Donatus Okorie, Commissioner for Cooperatives and Rural Development represented the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, Hon. Okey Igwe, Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency, Prof Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University, Umudike, Hon Eze Okwulehie, General Manager of Abia State Environmental Protection Agency and other notable Abians graced the event.

The hotel is a 55-room facility with a banquet hall, 2 halls of 500-seat capacity, another 2 halls of 350-seat capacity, a VIP Bar, an open bar, standard swimming pool, a disco hall (club), restaurant among other similar facilities.
