Ohafia LGA Chairman Seals Abiriba - Nkporo Sand excavation site till further notice

The Chairman Ohafia Local Government Area, Dr Okorafor Ukiwe, has ordered the immediate closure of the Abiriba-Nkporo Sand excavation site till further notice.
The Council boss made the decision known after a routine visit to the site this morning where he observed with great displeasure the damage to public infrastructure especially the newly constructed Abiriba-Nkpro Road and the drainage as a result of the activities of the excavators in the course of their businesses there.
The Chairman further warned against destruction of public infrastructure built with tax payers money by any individual or groups for whatever reason.
"I will not stand and watch people destroy government effort in providing infrastructure to the people, therefore this pit is hereby closed permanently till further notice"
It should be recalled that the Abiriba-Nkporo road was reconstructed and commissioned by Governor okezie Ikpeazu just last year alongside other roads in Ohafia LGA. So the best we can do as a people is to protect these infrastructure built for our own use.
