Boys' Brigade decorates Ukiwe as Patron

Boys Brigade, a foremost international, inter-denominational voluntary, Christian youth organization has honored Ohafia LGA Boss, Dr Okorafor Ukiwe by appointing him as Patron.
The minister in charge and chaplain, 9th Ohafia company of Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel O. Eme in a ceremony held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Abiriba, yesterday, said the honor is in recognition of the Chairman's contributions to humanity and community development, stating that Dr. Ukiwe has consistently displayed the fear of God in all his dealings, a principle which he said had made him sensitive to his Godly obligations and a useful citizen.
Reacting, the Executive Chairman, Dr. Okorafor Ukiwe thanked the 9th Ohafia Company of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria for the honor done to him and pledged his service and commitment to the body.
Ukiwe who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Dimgba Ejieke hailed the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria for engaging young people in meaningful ventures, saying that it has helped in diverting their minds from vices.
Ukiwe used the opportunity to call on young people to remain steadfast in their support for the government of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu saying that the government have birthed a new Abia State where young people are the core of governance.
