Abia: PDP inaugurates Newly elected State Executive members

The New Executive Committee members of the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) have been inaugurated with a charge to work hard towards enthroning another PDP Government in the State come 2023.

Speaking while administering the of oath of office and allegiance on the new members by Sir Emeka Ezeh on behalf of the National Working Committee at the party Secretariat, the Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu assured the new Executives that he will continue to do his best to ensure that the party is moved forward by giving them all the necessary support and encouragement.

Dr. Ikpeazu represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu reminded the newly sworn in State Executives of PDP of the enormous task ahead of them which is to steer the ship of the party devoid of any factions and enjoined them to embark on aggressive wooing of new members to the party as well as reaching out to supposed aggrieved members to join hands with them as people with a common destiny that will ensure that the party gets a resounding victory both at the State and National levels in future elections.

He used the forum to congratulate the new Executives which he described as as men and women of proven pedigree and urged them to render useful advise, support and encouragement to every party member, while appreciating the PDP National Working Committee for their wonderful support to the success of the party in the State.

Speaking while handing over the working documents to the new Chairman, the former Acting Chairman of PDP, Chief PC Onyegbu thanked God for making the Congress and inauguration a very successful one and enjoined party members to give the same massive support to the new Executives who should carry everyone along.

In his address, the newly elected State Chairman of PDP, Chief Allwell Asiforo who promised to ensure the principles of internal democracy by running an open door policy with equity, fair play and most importantly, the fear of God and called on aggrieved members and new members to return enmasse to the party to enable them achieve the objectives of the founding fathers of the party.

Chief Asiforo lauded Governor Okezie lkpeazu for his support to the party and infrastructural developments going on in the State as well as other critical stakeholders for ensuring the success of their election and inauguration and promised to keep the party intact by upholding the wonderful legacies bequeathed to them in order to win future elections.

In their separate speeches, the State Youth Leader, Chief Patrick Onwuka and the State Woman Leader, Lolo Christy Emenike thanked the state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and PDP family for given them the opportunity to serve and promised to join hands with the new state party Chairman to move the party forward.

A minute silence was earlier held in honour of the departed Executive members of the party.

Other members of the State PDP Executive Committee include; the Deputy Chairman, Obinna Nwachukwu, the Secretary, Mr David lroh,the Treasurer, Prince Ben Okezie among others.

The ceremony attracted the presence of l top Government functionaries,party stalwarts among other distinguished personalities
