FG APPROVES NEW FIRE SERVICE STATION AT OHAFIA LGA

Federal government has approved the establishment of a Fire service station in Ohafia LGA.
This was made known by the Assistant Controller General of Fire, Karebo Pere Samson, who led a delegation of Federal fire service officers on a facility visit to the Council Chairman, Dr Okorafor Ukiwe.
Karebo in his remarks, noted that the decision to site the Fire station within the Council headquarter is to ensure the the security of assets.
In his response, the chairman expressed delight on the new development and promised to ensure that the fire station comes alive in the interest of not just Ohafia but the entire Abia North.
He commended the state Governor, Dr Victor Okezie Ikpeazu for his unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and properties of Ohafia people in particular and Abians in general.
