Aspirants pick PDP forms in Delta State

In his poise for good governance for Deltans and in line with stipulations of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, a lawyer, has picked the nomination form of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the party headquarters in Abuja.

Addressing journalists shortly after the exercise, the former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) reiterated his determination to add value to Delta State through maintenance of insecurity and creation of employment for the teeming youths. He expressed optimism that family and community life would be enhanced through a sustainable economy programme that would be presented by him.

Omo-Agege emphasised good governance in place of zoning, reminding all that there was no formal zoning in the PDP, but rather that the aspirants would be given a level playing ground at the field. He promised to run a representative system of government when elected governor in 2015.

He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for providing the enabling environment for democracy to thrive and reaffirmed his undiluted support for him in the forthcoming Presidential Election. Omo-Agege maintained that the National Working Committee of the party would be doing its best to ensure that Nigerians get the best from the ruling party. He also commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for ensuring that the PDP remains a formidable force at all levels in the state.

In a related development, other two aspirants on the platform of the PDP also obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the race to the Delta State Government House in 2015. Dr. Andrew Warri of Delta South Senatorial District picked his today (yesterday) while Mr. Anthony Obuh picked his last Friday, immediately the sales commenced.

Andrew Warri promised to improve the health sector if elected while Obuh promised to create an enabling environment for investment when he takes over the Osadebay House in Asaba in 2015.
